Emergency Responder Radio Communication System (ERRCS)

ERRC/BDA System Code Requirements

Emergency Responder Radio Communication System (ERRCS), are the first responders life line inside of a building. A building owner is responsible by code to ensure first responders have adequate radio coverage inside their buildings. CSS provides complete turn-key solutions to ensure your building is compliant.
At the moment of truth, First Responders demand seamless radio coverage throughout buildings in an emergency, however today’s building construction materials frequently block these mission critical wireless signals. Ordinances are being issued by Counties, Towns, and Municipalities throughout the county that mandate coverage for  for new construction and renovated properties in their jurisdictions. This is now an imperative which cannot be overlooked, or buildings are in jeopardy of not receiving their Certificate of Occupancy.

The Intrnational Fire Code Section 510 states ” New buildings shall have approved radio coverage for emergency responders within the building….” This has been adopted by both the State of NY and NJ. CSS has been very successful throughout NY and NJ in testing and where needed, installing the ERRC/BDA systems to ensure coverage for our first responders. CSS takes this resposiblity very seriously and does not cut corners in our design testing and overall implementation of this life safety system. By utilizing the latest test equipment and iBwave modeling software, buildng owners can be assured this system will not hold up their Certificate of Occupancy.
