Emergency Responder Radio Communication System (ERRCS)

Connections which save lives

In the case of an emergency it is crucial that all buildings support wireless communication for police, the fire department and other first responder personnel. National and international fire codes now require all new and existing buildings have full wireless coverage indoors with each municipality requiring its unique configuration for public safety radio.

At the moment of truth, First Responders demand seamless radio coverage throughout buildings in an emergency, however today’s building construction materials frequently block these mission critical wireless signals. Ordinances are being issued by Counties, Towns, and Municipalities throughout New Jersey and New York that mandate 99% coverage for “critical areas” for new construction and renovated properties in their jurisdictions. This is now an imperative which cannot be overlooked, or buildings are in jeopardy of not receiving their Certificate of Occupancy.

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes stipulate what is necessary for compliance and most ordinances have adopted one of two versions of the code: NFPA 72 (2010, 2013, or 2016) or the International Fire Code (*IFC*; 2012 or 2015). Cell Signal Solutions works closely with police, fire, and local governments to design, install, and maintain Public Safety DAS systems that meet or exceed all code requirements, providing critical life safety service for the community.
